Advanced BandThe award winning Tetzlaff Advanced Band is the audition based instrumental ensemble offered at Tetzlaff. This ensemble offers middle school students the rare opportunity to march and compete in front of thousands of people at parades in the fall including the Disneyland Main Street Parade! In the spring this ensemble focuses on challenging concert literature as well as the development of specific instrument pedagogy and techniques. Students in this ensemble are expected to practice between 3-4 times per week or as necessary to maintain the high standard of the group. The group has many performances throughout the year and it is vital that all members plan ahead so that our ensemble has the best possible performance. Transportation ContributionEach student in the Advanced Band is asked to contribute $200 for the year. The Tetzlaff Advanced Band is able to perform at many exciting events throughout Southern California. To allow us to continue to offer these experiences to our students, we must ask for a contribution from members to cover costs associated with these events. Contributions are used for costs such as bus fees, truck and equipment rentals for parades and performances, and other costs associated with our program.
Contributions may be made at Pre-Registration in August or the first week of school. If making this payment in the beginning of the year is an extreme hardship, please contact Mr. Gullett so that we can address the situation on an individual basis. |
